Luke Combs was one of the many honorees at the 14th annual ACM Honors ceremony, which took place at Nashville’s Ryman Auditorium on Wednesday night (August 25), and his wife Nico Hocking was in attendance of the affair.

Not only was the country chart-topper recognized as "one of very few artists to claim a double-platinum album in 2021," Combs, 31, received the ACM Gene Weed Milestone Award during the show. "I cannot believe this. Honestly, every time I come up here, my wife gets nervous about what I'm going to say. I'm more nervous than she is which will tell you that I'm pretty nervous tonight," the singer told the crowd. "Hearing Ashley McBryde sing ["She Got the Best of Me"], give it up for Ashley McBryde. I'm 31-years-old. I just had my 11th No. 1 song. Thanks to everybody sitting in this audience. Thanks to country music fans is the reason why I get to do what I love to do, what Ashley gets to do what she loves to do, what all of us get to do what we love to do is because of people like you."

Among the other honorees for the Wednesday ceremony included Ken Burns' Country Music documentary, Lady A, Dan + Shay, Loretta Lynn and Rascal Flatts, as well as some behind-the-scenes creatives.

Combs' honor arrived on the same day that the star dropped the music video for his latest hit, "Cold As You," which included nods to his past. “My team and I are always keeping the fans in mind with everything we do and the fact that we were able to implement so many ‘Easter eggs,’ including characters from my past music videos, was really cool. I hope y’all enjoy it as much as we do," Combs in a press statement for the new video.
