A Michigan man has been playing the same set of numbers since 1991 and his consistency has finally paid off.

According to the official Michigan Lottery website, a Roscommon County man is $18.41 million richer after winning the Lotto 47 jackpot.

The winning Lotto 47 jackpot numbers were: 03, 05, 10, 20, 28, 31. The 61-year-old player, who decided to remain anonymous, bought the winning ticket from the Family E-Z Mart in Prudenville.

"I have been playing this set of numbers since 1991 and have rarely missed a drawing," the player told the Michigan lottery. "I've thought several times about trying a new set of numbers but decided each time to keep playing this one."

Instead of annuity payments for the full $18.4 million, the player decided to claim a one-time lump-sum payment of about $11.7 million.

"I checked my numbers before I went to bed the night of the drawing. When I recognized the set of numbers, I checked my ticket over at least a dozen times. I was shocked!"

The player says he plans to share the money with his family, donate to different charities, and save what he has left.

"It still hasn’t sunk in that I won," the player added. "I am so glad I decided to stick with this set of numbers!"

If interested in participating in other Michigan Lotteries, the next Michigan Powerball drawing is estimated to be worth $304 million.

The Mega Millions drawing is also this week. It has an estimated jackpot of $28 million, and the Fantasy 5 has an estimated jackpot of $105,000.
