Adult film star Ron Jeremy has been indicted on more than 30 sexual assault counts involving 21 victims since 1996, with victims ranging from ages 15 to 51.

Yahoo.com reports Jeremy appeared in a Los Angeles court on Wednesday (August 25) and pleaded not guilty to the following charges:

  • Forcible rape (12 counts)
  • Forcible oral copulation (7 counts)
  • Sexual battery by restraint (6 counts)
  • Sexual penetration by a foreign object (4 counts)
  • Sexual penetration of an unconscious or asleep person and one count each of lewd act upon a child under the age of 14 or 15 (2 counts)
  • Sodomy by use of force and assault with intent to commit rape

"Far too often, survivors of sexual assault suffer in isolation,” Los Angeles District Attorney George Gascón said in a statement obtained by Yahoo. "We must ensure that survivors have all options available to help with recovery, including trauma-informed services for healing and support to report such crimes."

Jeremy's attorney didn't immediately respond when Yahoo Entertainment reached out for a comment in connection to the indictment.

Jeremy was arrested in June 2020 and initially charged with multiple counts of sexual assault, pleading not guilty.

The 67-year-old later received additional charges in October 2020 and once again pleaded not guilty.

The case remained under investigation and more women came forward with allegations of abuse against Jeremy dating back to 1996.

The adult film star was rumored to be facing sexual misconduct allegations for years, but the #MeToo era brought more accusations to light.

Jeremy is scheduled to appear in court for a pretrial conference on October 12 and remains jailed as he failed to post his $6.6 million bail.
