CM Punk won't be the only former WWE Champion making the jump to All Elite Wrestling if his latest promo and an ensuing social media post are any indication.

During his in-ring interview with commentator Tony Schiavone on Wednesday (August 25) night's episode of Dynamite, Punk acknowledged the "Yes" chants from the live crowd made famous by Bryan Danielson, better known by WWE fans as 'Daniel Bryan.'

"That's somebody else's schtick and you might just need to be a little bit more patient, ok," Punk said.

Shortly after, Punk shared a zoomed in photo of a handshake between himself and Danielson during their respective runs in Ring of Honor Wrestling.

The tease comes one month after BodySlam.net reported Danielson was "locked in" and had already signed a contract with AEW.

The multi-time former World Champion last appeared on WWE television during a losing effort to Universal Champion Roman Reigns in the main event of Friday Night SmackDown in April.

Danielson's contract reportedly expired after the appearance and multiple reports have indicated interest from both companies.

Punk made his professional wrestling return on last Friday's episode of Rampage, confirming long speculation that he was set to join AEW seven years after his departure and release from WWE.

The former World Champion is scheduled to face Darby Allin at All Out in Chicago on September 5.
