EvrYwhr Says New Single 'Tie Dye' Will 'Shine Bright Beyond Our Lifetime'

We can always use positivity in our day-to-day lives and evrYwhr is continuing his agenda to spread the good vibes with his new single "Tie Dye," which dropped on (Friday) August 27.

Recorded over the course of two months and in three different studios in between traveling between Atlanta and Los Angeles, the almost three-minute cut, which was inspired by self-love and community, hears the Michigan-born talent offer his signature blend of R&B and pop. "Brighter than the sunshine/ Better not forget that you’re golden/ Keep your mind, body, heart and spirit open/ Get your vibe right feelin like tie dye," he raps during the opening verse.

"We all get to fall in love with our own unique journey in this lifetime," the singer told iHeartRadio of the track. "We are beautiful, we are colorful, we are different; each day learning to better embrace our hues & stand strong in our individuality. We are 'Tie Dye.'"

The single will be included on evrYwhr's debut album, which is scheduled to drop next summer via Saint & Citizen Music. Asked how he keeps his focus on writing songs that are real, positive and light when the real might not exactly be light, the singer had a lengthy explanation. "The 'real' can definitely be heavy and often is, that's why songs like 'Positive Vibes' and 'Tie Dye' have focused on giving the world music to lift vibrations," he explained. "We're still in the midst of a global pandemic, where society as a whole is adjusting to our new way of life; having to wave goodbye to existence as we once knew it with no closure. There's also an extensive list of injustices citizens of the world cope with as we seek to thrive in environments that limit us to a mentality of survival mode. Still, I view us as limitless. There's no shortage of problems for us to face in our daily lives, so it's important to me that I mirror the light we all possess as beautiful creations of God."

Despite the challenges that we face, evrYwhr is persistent on using his platform to speak about the human experience as authentically as possible. "I won't promise that it will always be light, but songs like 'Tie Dye' will shine bright beyond our lifetime," he added.
