Reboots have been on the rise in Hollywood lately. Within the last month, Home Alone, The Wood, Scarface, White Men Can't Jump and Beverly Hills Cop IV reboots have been developing. More recently, Warner Bros. unleashed the firstThe Matrix: Resurrection trailer during CinemaCon. This Friday, Noir Online unveiled the first look at the surprising ATL reboot or reunion.
In the surprise trailer, the stars of the first film can be seen walking down the street as "Georgia" by Ray Charles plays in the background. Clifford "T.I." Harris, Evan Ross, Jackie Long, Albert Daniels, Jason Weaver, Lauren London and Khadijah Haqq all make an appearance before Big Rube ends things with a monologue.

The original film, ATL, arrived in 2006 and quietly became a cultural phenomenon. With classic characters like Ant, Esquire, New New and Rashad, the film earned more than $20 million at the box office on a budget of $7 million. It went on to win "Best Hip-Hop Movie" at the 2006 BET Hip-Hop Awards before earning Black Reel Award and NAACP Image Award nominations.
In 2015, director Chris Robinson shared a teaser for the sequel. Months later, T.I. confirmed that he and Robinson were working on the film, but it remained in "development hell." Six years later, a sequel appears to be in the works. With that said, fans who loved the original are having mixed feelings about the sequel.

At this time, it is unclear what this project will entail. Given previous statements provided by T.I. and Robinson, it is more than likely a trailer for another movie, but a television series is not out of the question either. Hopefully, more information will come in the next few months.
