After an exciting six-week ride, Kanye West fans were rewarded with a new album from the Chicago native. Early Sunday morning, West's 10th studio album, Donda, arrived on streaming services and fans immediately began diving into the project. It Includes features from Jay-Z, The Weeknd, Pop Smoke, Pusha T, Vory and many other top acts backed by Kanye West's cinematic production.

The road to Donda is a rollercoaster ride that began on the weekend of July 18 in Las Vegas. As the sun gracefully went down and the moon rose in Sin City, music insiders began to tweet about a mystery listening session featuring the best-selling artist. Over the course of nearly two hours, West reportedly played tracks that included tributes to his late mother, Donda West, and star verses from the likes of Lil' Baby and Pop Smoke.

Seventy-two hours after his Las Vegas event, his fans shifted their attention to the 2021 NBA Finals. During the tense showdown featuring the Milwaukee Bucks and Phoenix Suns, Beats By Dre debuted an ad that highlighted Sha'Carri Richardson and music from Donda. With that ad came another announcement, Kanye West was preparing to take over Mercedez Benz Stadium in order to host an album listening session.

In Atlanta, things went to another level. With more than 20,000 fans packed into a football stadium, West played his album in its entirety with a few new surprises. Most notably, The Throne returned as Jay-Z dropped a verse on "Jail." While anticipation was high, it was clear that the Chicago musician was not done working on this project so he reportedly lived in Mercedez Benz Stadium for a few days while finished his work.

In August, fans began to grow impatient as one listening session turned into four different events across three different cities. Fortunately, it all paid off. On August 27, West hosted a cinematic celebration of his album complete with dancers, lights and a replica version of his childhood home. Two days later, he finished the Donda marathon by releasing his aforementioned 10th studio album and his fans were ecstatic.
