Percy "Master P" Miller's 15-year-old son is taking his basketball talents to the University of Houston.
The rap icon announced on his Instagram page on Monday that Mercy Miller is making an early commitment to Houston.
"My son @mercymiller has already won a High School State Championship as a Freshman," Master P wrote on his Instagram page. "For the future, he's focused on winning a College Championship where all the great legends came from like Elvin Hayes, Hakeem Olajuwon and Clyde Drexler. And that's why he decided to make an early commitment to the University of Houston. Coach Sampson @uhcougarmbk #Godisgood"
Mercy confirmed the announcement on his Instagram account.
The teen is currently a sophomore Minnehaha Academy in Minneapolis, the Houston Chronicle reported. He's won't graduate high school until 2024, but Mercy has already had offers to play for Missouri, Texas Southern University, and Tennessee State University.
His brother Hercy Miller committed to Tennessee State earlier this year.
Before Master P made his career in the music industry in the 1990s, he briefly attended the University of Houston on a basketball scholarship.
