Many professional singers have a pre-performance ritual of preparing their bodies for the demands of singing, and vocal warm-ups usually fall pretty high on the list of priorities.

However, Blanco Brown says that's not his style.

In a recent interview with Cody Alan, the "Git Up" singer explains why he doesn't warm his vocal cords before a performance and shares why his recent "Mariah Carey high note moment" was truly remarkable – even to him.

"My thing is, it's almost like putting a test trial on a car, and you just keep reeving up the engine, but not racing," says Blanco. "Like, with me? The notes I know I can hit, I can hit. So I am going to hit those whenever it's presented, and if I can't, then I ain't gonna try."

Blanco recently set the record for the highest note ever performed live by a male artist while singing the National Anthem at Dodger Stadium! Hear him soar by clicking the link below.

"That was my first time, and it was spur of the moment," says Blanco as he recounts his time on the Dodger field. "I didn't even know if I was going to hit the note, but I said, "What do I want to do here?" And then I just went for it. No warm-up. No nothing. Just did it."

"Some people say you need to stretch before you run, but you never see a cheetah stretch," laughs Cody.
