Drake is trying to send Houston a message, but no one is 100% sure about what it means.

His upcoming album Certified Lover Boy is set to drop on Friday, September 3. As part of the marketing campaign, billboards have popped up across the U.S. and even in Canada and Nigeria teasing the album and potential collaborators.

Some of the billboards have been more straight forward and have named Young Thug, Future, 21 Savage, and other artists. However, the Houston billboard is shrouded in mystery.

The Houston billboard reads "Hey Houston The Hometown Hero Is On CLB" and first appeared on social media on Wednesday night.

While the photo has been shared thousands of times, no one is really sure where the billboard is in Houston or if it's just an online photo.

The second mystery is who is the hometown hero?

A ton of rappers and hip hop artists call Houston home. That list includes everyone from Bun B, Chamillionaire, Megan Thee Stallion, Scarface, and Travis Scott, just to name a few.

The list of musicians from Houston is even longer. Beyonce is by far the most well known, so a lot of people on Twitter speculated the album could feature Queen B.

Some even threw out that "hometown hero" could a reference to someone not even in the music industry. Mattress Mack and former Houston Rocket Hakeem Olajuwon were name dropped in this category.

It could also be a reference to Trae Tha Truth since his 2018 album was named Hometown Hero, and he's well known for his philanthropy in Houston.
