This Atlanta Eatery Is The Most Unique Restaurant In Georgia

Georgia has tons of restaurants to choose from, but it doesn’t get much more unique than the largest drive-in restaurant in the world.

Love Food, the publisher that dubs itself “the tastiest guide on the web,” mapped out the most unique dining experiences in every state (plus D.C.). The end result is a collection of “quirky and unusual” eateries, from “a restaurant where diners can watch mermaids swim while eating, to spots inside old train carriages,” and everything in between.

The most unique one in Georgia is Atlanta, according to Love Food.

Here’s what Love Food says about the unique experience at The Varsity:

“The Varsity is an iconic Atlanta institution which now has several locations around the city. The main downtown branch is the largest drive-in restaurant in the world. It's been operating since 1928 and still offers that same classic American diner experience that customers love. It serves traditional fast food including hot dogs, burgers, fried chicken, milkshakes and fried fruit pies.”

The Varsity is “a family tradition, no trip to Atlanta is complete without a hotdog, some rings and an FO!” It's located at 61 North Avenue in Atlanta.
