The Robert E. Lee Statue in Richmond, Virginia, is being removed.

Crews quickly lifted up and put down the largest standing Confederate Statue in America.

The decision was made by the Virginia Supreme Court last week giving the commonwealth the thumbs up for the removal.

The Federal Aviation Administration temporarily banned all drones from flying in the area of Monument Circle as the 12 ton statue - a long-time lightning rod for controversy - was taken down after 130 years.
