There are plenty of factors that go into deciding what kind of dog you want to adopt like, size, friendliness, reputation, easiness to train and so much more.

If you've ever wondered what the most popular dog breed is, well, it varies state by state. Luckily, Franchise Opportunities sought out to find what dog breeds are favored by each state.

Here is what the report says about how it found the results:

"To find this out we used 2017 Google Trends data for the top 50 most popular breeds in America according to the American Kennel Club to analyze each state's dog breed-related Google search results. From there, we were able to determine the most popular or most searched dog breed for each state with some interesting results."

So, what is Wisconsin's most popular dog breed?

A Great Dane.

Of all 50 states, Wisconsin was the only one to favor the Great Dane dog breed over any other dog.
