Busta Rhymes is a seasoned veteran when it comes to live shows, and his performance at the 2021 MTV Video Music Awards proved that he hasn't missed a beat. On Sunday night, the Brooklyn native took the stage at the Barclays Center to perform a medley of his classic hits, spanning from the early 90's to today.

Busta christened the return of the Video Music Awards from it's two year hiatus by performing everything from his classic, high energy breakout hit "Put Your Hands Where My Eyes Can See", to his mega hit 2006 track "Touch It", followed by a snippet of his ultra speedy verse from Chris Brown's 2011 hit song, "Look At Me Now". He wrapped up his timeless set with 2001 chart topping record, "Pass The Courvoisier".

Busta was joined by his longtime hype man Spliff Star and slew of backup dancers as he honored his hometown and paid homage to his three decades of non-stop hit records. Fans took to social media to give the emcee his flowers for his 30-year career, tweeting things like, "Busta Rhymes is so easily one of the best hiphop artists of all time. His catalog is dangerous."

Busta ended his homage to his beloved borough, exclaiming

"Brooklyn, don't ever forget that!"

The rapper took to Twitter to thank his fans following his monumental performance, tweeting:

THANK YOU TO GOD / MY FAMILY AND MOST IMPORTANTLY YOU THE FANS FOR MAKING EACH MOMENT MEMORABLE AND EXTREMELY SPECIAL !!! YOU ARE THE REAL KINGS AND QUEENS !!!
