Your happiness should always be a top priority in your life and where you live might affect just how happy you are.

WalletHub set out to find which of the 50 states "promote happiness in the wake of COVID-19."

According to the study, "4 in 10 adults reported symptoms of anxiety or depressive disorder," so to determine which states were the happiest, WalletHub looked at multiple factors relating to what makes a person happy.

"In this study, WalletHub drew upon the findings of "happiness" research to determine which environmental factors are linked to a person’s overall well-being and satisfaction with life. Previous studies have found that good economic, emotional, physical and social health are all key to a well-balanced and fulfilled life."

The study looked at data concerning three significant components: emotional and physical well-being, work environment, and community and environment.

So, where does Missouri land on the list of the happiest states in America?

Missouri landed itself at No. 29.
