Multiple people have been hospitalized in two separate bee attacks in Hildalgo County, Texas, over the past few days.

On Monday afternoon, two county employees were attacked by a swarm while repairing a drainage ditch in Edinburg.

The two men had been stung more than 100 times and at least one of them was having an allergic reaction, Valley Central reported. Both were taken to an area hospital.

“Both employees are in good condition. One has already been released and the one exhibiting symptoms of a reaction has been medicated and is expected to be released soon,” a Hidalgo County spokesperson told the station.

Another bee attack took place on Friday, September 17, near Penitas. Border Patrol agents discovered a dozen migrants who were stung shortly after crossing the Rio Grande.

Four of the 12 migrants had to be hospitalized, including a Honduran mother who became separated from her two 2-year-old daughter during the bee attack.

Luckily, agents found the little girl with another group of migrants, and those who were taken to the hospital are expected to be ok.
