An Oregon family nurse practitioner's dreams will come true when she appears on Wheel of Fortune this week.

Melissa Davis from Beaverton will be taking a spin on the hit TV show after attending a Wheelmobile event in Lincoln.

“I still can't believe it!” the mother of two exclaims. “I’m most looking forward to meeting Pat and Vanna, seeing the set, spinning the Wheel, all of it!”

Davis says watching Wheel of Fortune was a family tradition in her household. She recalls "sitting around the kitchen table at dinnertime with my mom, dad, and sister all watching the 12-inch television mounted on a tiny shelf in the corner, yelling out the puzzles."

Now, the Beaverton mom shares this tradition with her family: her husband of seven years, eight-year-old daughter, and five-year-old son. She recently introduced her kids to the show and still calls out puzzles. Davis plans on remodeling her 1988 kitchen and taking her family on a trip to Disneyland with any winnings she nabs.

You can watch Davis rep the Portland area Tuesday (September 28) at 7:30 p.m. on KATU.
