Lena Dunham got married over the weekend, and Taylor Swift was the guest of honor, according to Page Six. Swift reportedly also delivered a speech for the newly-wedded couple and attended the event alone.

Dunham and her new husband, Luis Felber, reportedly opted to keep the event small in order to comply with COVID-19 guidelines. Dunham and Felber required guests to prove they had been vaccinated and needed to undergo "lateral flow" tests in order to make sure no one had any traces of the virus.

The couple got married at Union Club in London's Soho, and the guest list was kept small and intimate, with only close friends and family invited. According to Page Six, Dunham wanted to ensure all guidelines were strictly followed, as she herself is immunocompromised.

A source told The Sun that "Taylor showed up for Lena and gave a really sweet speech celebrating them as a couple and congratulating them. Lena looked so happy that she was there. Obviously Taylor has a crazy schedule and it's not normal for her to just nip down to Soho, so she was thrilled she took the time to come."

Dunham first confirmed that she and Felber were dating last April, and revealed that the two had already been together for a few months by that time.

Swift's appearance at Dunham's wedding comes in the midst of the pop star's Red (Taylor's Version) rollout. The "You Belong With Me" singer has been spending the past several months re-recording her earlier albums for fans, beginning with Fearless. Swift also signed copies of her Fearless (Taylor's Version) record, the singer joking that her hands are "frozen in the permanent shape of a claw" after doing so.

The singer has also started a new trend on TikTok after shouting out Shania Twain in a video saying "country girls can't go pop." Utilizing the viral "Mama Said" sound by Lukas Graham, Swift paid homage to Twain and her career. Following Swift's video, Twain paid it forward to honor Dolly Parton.
