A hot dog statue known as "Big Wein" went missing from a Michigan restaurant on Friday, September 24.

According to UpNorthLive, the hot dog statue disappeared from Rusty Dogz on North Main Street in Cheboygan.

"Big Wein" usually stands outside of the hot dog establishment, but the statue was stolen on Friday, September 24, between 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. A witness told the restaurant owner that they saw a man and a woman putting "Big Wein" into a car while someone recorded them stealing it.

According to a Facebook post by Rusty Dogs, the statue has been found and returned. The restaurant's Facebook post wrote:

"The Big Wein has been returned! We want to give a huge shout out to the Cheboygan City Police force for bringing him home to us and anyone who called in with tips, shared our posts, or helped with our search! We hope the officers working enjoy their lunch today as a thank you for all their hard work"

Rusty Dogs treated the Cheboygan City Police Officers to lunch for their help in recovering the stolen statue.

The Facebook post was followed up by hilarious and punny comments from Michigan residents, like "I'm glad the police were able to ketchup to the thieves."
