A Frankfort, Kentucky, mom is accused of leaving her young kids in her vehicle while going out for drinks.

Frankfort cops were called out to Rose’s Pub after a caller reported seeing three kids left in a car for multiple hours around 10 p.m. on September 17, the State Journal reported.

Outside the pub, cops found a Mitsubishi Outlander with three kids in the backseat and only the driver's window rolled down.

A one-year-old boy was unconscious, unresponsive, and had a thick wool blanket covering his head and body. Inside were also a 2-year-old boy and a 3-year-old boy who were awake and alert.

Paramedics were immediately called to check on the young boys.

“I observed all three had white rings around their lips. The children also had red faces and were sweating and showed signs consistent with dehydration," an officer wrote in the police report.

The mom, identified as Mercedes Carrier, came out of the bar and started yelling and cursing at the paramedics checking on the boys.

The police report said that Carrier's breath smelled like alcohol and that she was unsteady on her feet.

Carrier told cops that she left the kids in her SUV “to go inside Rose’s Pub due to the fact that she was having issues with her ‘baby daddy'" and that the kids were only unattended for 15 minutes before the cops arrived.

The kids were taken to a nearby hospital while Carrier was arrested and taken to jail. She's facing charges of wanton endangerment, disorderly conduct, and being intoxicated in a public place.
