A 2019 clip of a WFAA anchor in Dallas, Texas, is going viral on Twitter for the anchor's comments on Superman.
Anchor Cynthia Izaguirre manged to get under the skin of both Marvel and DC Comics fans after reading a story about Netflix auctioning off props from canceled superhero shows. The story wasn't significant but Izaguirre's comments still has the internet rolling its eyes two years later.
While trying to show off her comic book knowledge, Izaguirre looks into the camera and says "What's your favorite Marvel Comics hero? Mine is Superman."
She immediately followed that up with "Remember the motto? With great power comes great responsibility."
Oof, Peter Parker's Uncle Ben must be rolling in his grave at the thought of another hero getting the credit for Spider-Man's phrase.
Twitter had a field day, but users couldn't decide of Izaguirre didn't know what she said was incorrect or if she's trolling comic book fans.
From that moment, I know she's trollin'.

Izaguirre didn't quite admit that she was trolling, but she certainly hinted at it by retweeting comedian Patton Oswalt.
Patton is on to something here…😉 https://t.co/mGNytHt7NE
