Everybody is afraid of something but some people's fears are a lot more intense. Phobias are defined as "an extreme or irrational fear of or aversion to something."
So many people have them that YourLocalSecurity releases an annual report on each state's most-searched phobia to find out what Americans are most scared of.
Their 2021 report was released just in time for Halloween.
So what do Californians fear the most?
According to YourLocalSecurity, it's a fear of blood. Californians aren't the only ones afraid of the bodily fluid.
Florida, Illinois, Missouri, Nevada, Tennesse, Texas, and Washington all had the same most-searched phobia for this year's report.
