Mötley Crüe frontman Vince Neil is nursing his injuries at home after a nasty fall from the stage over the weekend during a concert in Tennessee.

Neil and his solo band were playing the Monsters on the Mountain festival in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee, when Neil got hurt Friday.

"Vince is back home and resting after breaking a few ribs on Friday night," Mötley Crüe wrote in a statement. "Our love and best wishes for a speedy recovery and ready to rock in ‘22!"

Video from the evening shows Neil at the front of the stage during the Mötley Crüe song "Don't Go Away Mad (Just Go Away)" when he slips and drops out of view. TMZ later reported that the stage had a small gap between the floor and a speaker which the singer did not see before his accident.

Neil was helped to his feet by security and then taken to get medical attention. His band finished the set with bassist Dana Strum taking over lead vocals.

The fall came at a particularly inopportune time for Neil, who has been under the microscope for his performances this year. Fans dubious of Neil's commitment to his craft have critiqued him for struggling with his vocals and appearing out of shape more than a year after Mötley Crüe's reunion was initially scheduled to take place.

But Neil was reportedly back to exercising regularly this summer and "trying it all" in an effort to slim down for the 'Stadium Tour' next year. His efforts appeared to be paying off, too, as he was sounding better than he had in years, and looking more fit, too.

Mötley Crüe is set to hit the road on its postponed reunion tour next year with Def Leppard, Poison and Joan Jett & the Blackhearts.
