Animal rights activists held an elaborate protest outside of the In-N-Out restaurant in San Francisco, reports KGO.
To get their point across, the protest was inspired by the hit Netflix series Squid Game.
Protesters gathered on Jefferson Street and kicked off the event with a game of "Red Light, Green Light." which takes place in the first episode of the series.
According to KGO, animal rights activists are accusing In-N-Out of continuing to get their beef supply from a processing facility accused of killing cows inhumanely.
Furthermore, protesters want an end to factory farms in California.
In October, San Francisco's only In-N-Out location made national headlines after they were shut down by the city for not following COVID-19 vaccine mandates. The city requires all indoor diners to be fully vaccinated. They would be allowed to reopen if they only allowed takeout or outdoor ordering.
However, It was also reported that despite being shut down, the location was still allowing customers to dine inside.
Another Bay Area In-N-Out was also shut down for the same reason just a week later.
