Elon Musk warned the city of Austin to not become a "San Francisco copycat," after seeing a Fox News article about the election.

The CEO will be moving Tesla's headquarters out of the Bay Area's Palo Alto to Austin, Texas.

“Austin should be its city, not a San Francisco copycat," Musk tweeted in a response to an article about Austin voting on whether they should boost police presence in the city.

According to KRON, Proposition A would increase Austin police stagging to a minimum of two officers per 1,000 people, double the amount of yearly training for officers, increase minority hiring, and require 35 percent of officers' shifts be spent in community policing.

Musk has taken to Twitter to share terse statements about his disdain for California.

Previously, he tweeted "Exactly" in response to a Tesla blog post with the headline "Tesla Move its HQ to Texas Following Explicit Offer from California Assemblywoman."

The blog post connects Tesla leaving the state to when California Assemblywoman Lorena S. Gonzalez tweeted "F**k Elon Musk" in May 2020.

Gonzalez also tweeted: "California has highly subsidized a company that has always disregarded worker safety & well-being, has engaged in union busting & bullies public servants. I probably could’ve expressed my frustration in a less aggressive way. Of course, no one would’ve cared if I tweeted that."
