Moose Runs Loose On South Dakota State University's Football Field [VIDEO]

Maybe South Dakota State University should consider changing its mascot.

Local TV station, WDAY, captured a lone moose running free across the football field of the South Dakota State Jackrabbits in Brookings last week.

Police first spotted the bull moose running around on campus on Friday afternoon.

As they tried to coax it away from campus, the loose moose ditched them, and in true running back style, according to one official, "he ran back through our line and into the stadium."

Eventually, the moose was safely escorted back out of the stadium; no major damage was reported.
