Southwest Airlines Now Offering Service From Syracuse Airport

Syracuse, N.Y. - One of the biggest airline companies in the world is now offering service out of Syracuse Hancock International Airport.

Yesterday, a Southwest Airlines aircraft made its first-ever trip from the area to Baltimore, Maryland. Southwest will operate three daily flights to Baltimore and beginning this Saturday, nonstop service to Orlando, Florida will be offered on select days during busy fall and winter travel periods.

Officials had been trying for years to get Southwest to come to Syracuse because of its competitive fares and the number of destinations it reaches.
