Yankees Name Former Mets Skipper Luis Rojas as Third Base Coach

The New York Yankees are hiring former Mets manager Luis Rojas to be their new third base coach.

Phil Nevin served in the role last year and was criticized for sending Aaron Judge during the Wild Card game, as he was easily thrown out at home. Rojas served as Mets manager during the pandemic-shortened 2020 season and all of this last season. He got the job when Carlos Beltran stepped down amid the Astros sign-stealing scandal.
