Mom Charged for Encouraging Daughter to Punch Basketball Opponent [VIDEO]

A month after a California girl sucker-punched an opposing basketball player during a youth game, her mother has been charged for encouraging the on-court violence.

La Puente resident Latira Shonty Hunt, 44, has been charged with contributing to the delinquency of a minor and battery in connection with the incident, according to the Orange County District Attorney's Office. Charging documents indicate Hunt yelled at her daughter from the stands during the November 7th game, telling her, "You better hit her for that!"
