Tate McRae joins us in our Mercedes-Benz Interview Lounge backstage at our Z100 Jingle Ball in NYC.

While backstage with Gandhi and Danielle Monaro from Elvis Duran and the Morning Show, McRae talks about the 'very surreal' moment of playing for a crowd that is screaming her lyrics back at her. "It feels like you're finally being understood," she tells the ladies of the morning show. "Everyone screaming at you with such aggression," she jokes. When asked if it's hard to date when people know she writes songs about love, she jokingly warns that every relationship she is in "better know it's going to be a song!" That's your warning!!!!

McRae also mentions that her Grandpa doesn't even believe she can sing! Watch McRae's interview above where she explains why her Grandpa doesn't think she could win The Voice and more above!
