These Were San Francisco's Most Expensive Home Sales In 2021

The housing market has been in high demand all year, breaking records across California.

In San Francisco, some luxury homes over $10 million dollars sold in as little as a few weeks. One home sold for more than $1 million over the asking price after just three days after being listed.

So what were the most expensive home sales in the city in 2021?

According to a report from SFGATE, the top six home sales this year ranged from $17.45 million to $43.5 million.

The most expensive home was 2920 Broadway which broke records when it sold off-market at $43.5 million. The 11,000 square foot Pacific Heights mansion was built in the 1930s and has a 5,000-bottle wine cellar.

The second most expensive sale in 2021 was for 3414 Washinton St. which closed at $24.96 million after just 20 days on the market.

According to SFGATE, the rebuilt mansion includes six beds and seven baths in Presidio Heights. According to Mathew Arnold of TheFrontSteps, the last time the house sold in 2003, it went for $3.7 million.

In third place was 490 Avila St. which sold for $19.75 million. Across the street from the Marina Green, this home has seven beds, 10 baths, and is 7,809 square feet.
