The Man Running Against Senator Chuck Schumer

The Babylon Bee (the satirical website) had a spot-on tweet Wednesday:

Oops. Schumer gives passionate speech defending filibuster after accidentally printing his speech from two years ago.

It’s funny because although it’s not true, it’s true.

Senator Schumer was passionately FOR the filibuster (when a Republican was President) before becoming passionately AGAINST the filibuster (with a Democrat president).

Enter Joe Pinion, a young African-American who has decided to run against Schumer. If your first impression of Joe is the same as mine, this could be a much more interesting race than we might have thought… -Doug
