Yosemite National Park's "firefall" has returned in February 2022. The annual firefall at Horsetail falls is an amazing spectacle that brings out thousands of photographers and visitors to the park every year.

The firefall is created every in mid to late February when the setting sun hits the waterfall at just the right angle to create a flow of orange and red, making it seem like a waterfall made of fire.

The expected dates to see Firefall at Yosemite are from February 10 through February 28, 2022.

Because the stunning sight is so popular, the park has implemented new rules this year in an attempt to reduce traffic jams. While reservations are not required, ABC7 reports that guests are being asked to park at Yosemite Falls Parking and walk 1.5 miles to a viewing area near El Capitan Picnic area.

If that parking lot is full, park officials said people are allowed to park in any other lots and take the free shuttle to the Yosemite Falls Parking lot. There will also be road closures to accommodate the additional foot traffic and new rules for dropping off passengers.

To read the full list of rules, head to the park's official website.
