‘Bel-Air’ Star Jabari Banks Talks The New ‘Fresh Prince’ Reboot

In the new reimagined reboot of The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air, Jabari Banks plays Will Smith in the Peacock Original Bel-Air, a modern-day version of the classic ‘90s series originally starring Will Smith. 

The 24-year-old actor joined Ryan Seacrest on-air today to talk about the new spin to the popular ‘90s show and how he landed the role as Will Smith’s character.

“Bel-Air is a dramatic reimagining remix of the Fresh Prince of Bel-Air,” Banks told Seacrest about the new Peacock Original Series. The concept and the characters are the same but it takes a more dramatic look and dives deeper into the lives of each of the characters as it follows Will coming from the streets of West Philadelphia to the mansions of Bel-Air.
