VIDEO: Brazen Robbery Turns Into Food Fight At California Store

Customers at a California store witnessed a brazen shoplifting incident that turned into something even more bizarre. In a video posted to Twitter, a man wearing a mask is seen filling a bag full of items behind the checkout counter.

As he steals, the employees stand by and one is in the middle of making a call to the local authorities. However, one customer's reaction to the robbery wasn't as subdued as the staff. In the video below you can hear a customer talking to the thief. "Hey, this isn't cool," says the bystander. That's when the situation starts to escalate.

"What? You wanna go?" says the thief to the bystander. He then grabs a handful of bananas from a bin nearby and throws them at the man. The bystander then grabs the fruit off the ground and tries to hit the thief back as he runs out of the store.

While the mini food fight is definitely shocking, the brazen robbery isn't new for stores in the Bay Area. Thieves have reportedly been targeting Walgreens locations in the area so much that the company has had to shut down multiple stores. To read more on the situation, click here.
