Famous skateboarder and San Diego legend Tony Hawk recently posted an X-ray of his badly broken femur. "Yesterday sucked," Hawk wrote in an Instagram post. The caption was paired with before and after photos showing the brutal injury.
Being a professional skateboarder, Hawk is no stranger to injuries. In the post, he discusses making a comeback after busting his elbow 20 years ago and points out that this recovery will be "much harder" because of the severity and his age... "But I'm up for the challenge."
"There is a strange irony that this happened on the eve of HBO releasing a trailer for “Until The Wheels Fall Off,” Sam Jones’ documentary about my life & career, which has a strong focus on the philosophy of how I/we do this at our age," he continued.
Tony Hawk: Until the Wheels Fall Off, directed by Sam Jones and executive produced by Mark Duplass and Jay Duplass, will premiere on HBO Max on April 5th. It's also set to include a soundtrack featuring songs from The Clash, The Sex Pistols, Echo and the Bunnymen, and more era-appropriate music.
