These Are The Most-Stolen Cars And Trucks In San Diego

Although crime rates fell in the early days of the pandemic, auto thefts in California increased and have continued to over the past two years. According to FOX5, thieves in San Diego County have their sights set on specific sets of car owners.
The district attorney's Regional Auto Theft Task Force released a list of the top 10 most-stole cars, trucks, and motorcycles. According to their findings, Honda drivers are unfortunately the most targeted. Older Civics and Accords were at the top of the charts in 2021.
A task force spokesperson told FOX5 that Hondas are so common and thieves also find the older models easier to steal. Statewide statistics also reflected this local trend. The three most-stolen trucks and cars in California were models from 1998 to 2002 and the top three cars were all Honda Civics from varying years, according to California Highway Patrol data.
