The St. Louis teen who fell 430 feet to his death from an amusement park ride in Orlando exceeded the ride's weight limit, according to reports.
- Tyre Sampson, the 14-year-old victim, was 6'5" and weighed 340 pounds. The official operations manual for the 'FreeFall' lists a weight limit of 287 pounds.
- Tyre's father says other rides at ICON Park wouldn't let him get on due to his size. Attorneys for the family say the FreeFall operators should have done the same and turned him away.
- If Tyre exceeded the weight limit, does that make the park liable for his death? Are there any amusement park rides you refuse to get on?
