The Coliseum Authority in Oakland is facing a unique problem as the A’s home opener approaches next Monday.

The Coliseum, it turns out, is being overrun by feral cats and kittens. Oakland’s Animal Control department is trying to come up with a plan to have them humanely relocated. They hope to come up with some kind of adoption strategy. In the meantime officials are doing their best to cut off their food supply by keeping dumpsters tightly sealed.

There IS an upside to all of this. The rat population at the Coliseum is in rapid decline.
