Never Say This Word When Answering Unknown Numbers

If you have a phone, you probably get unknown numbers calling you daily. When you do receive these spam numbers, you probably don’t answer them. But maybe you’re waiting for a call from someone and don’t know their number so you pickup.

Ryan Seacrest shared on-air the one word you should NEVER say to these unknown callers if you answer:

"YES."

Sometimes when you answer, the person calling will ask “Can you hear me?” Naturally, your answer would be “YES,” but this is just a way the scammer can record your voice saying “YES” so they can authorize all kinds of charges using your voice that you don’t want. 

If you do receive a scam call, it’s best to ignore it or just hang up if they ask you this.
