Twitter Reacts To New Disney+ Movie 'Sneakerella'

Twitter is reacting after a new Disney+ movie about a young Black boy with a passion for sneakers was released on the streaming platform.
Sneakerella stars actor Chosen Jacobs and tells the story of El, a teen whose love of sneakers and design takes him from the stock room of a shoe store to the boardroom of one of the hottest sneaker companies. The film was written by David Light, Joseph Raso, Tamara Chestna, Mindy Stern, and My Wife & Kids star George Gore II.
The Cinderella-like story hit Disney+ on Friday (May 13) and got mixed reactions from Twitter users. Some compared the story to the 2002 film Like Mike starring Bow Wow while others called out people making fun of the film as discussions for more on-screen representation continue.
