Justin Bieber Reveals Face Paralysis Due To Ramsay Hunt Syndrome Diagnosis

Justin Bieber was forced to postpone some shows on his "Justice" tour because he was ill, and now he’s opened up about what exactly is ailing him. In a post on social media, Justin shared that he’s been diagnosed with Ramsay Hunt Syndrome, which is a virus that has affected a nerve in his ear, causing the left side of his face to be paralyzed.

"As you can see this eye is not blinking,” he says in the three-minute video. “I can't smile on this side of my face... So there's full paralysis on this side of my face.”

Justin says the condition is “pretty serious,” which is why he had to postpone dates. “I wish this wasn't the case, but, obviously, my body's telling me I've got to slow down," he said. "I hope you guys understand. I'll be using this time to just rest and relax and get back to a hundred percent so that I can do what I was born to do."
