Catalytic converter thefts have been common around Southern California and according to the Auto Club, it's only getting worse.
This week they are offering etching of vehicle identification numbers onto catalytic converters to help warn off thefts. The etching is free for members at nearly 20 different locations in Los Angeles and Orange counties. The person's VIN number of the vehicle will be etched onto the converter in hopes to prevent thefts from stealing them. Replacing and repairing damages from catalytic converters can cost thousands of dollars. View the post below to see where you can get your catalytic converter etched and click here for more.
