One of Toby Keith’s most iconic hit songs is marking a major milestone this year. The country music giant released a new lyric video on Friday morning (July 1) in honor of the 20th anniversary of “Courtesy of the Red, White and Blue (The Angry American).” Keith’s chart-topper officially released in 2002. It was included on Keith’s 13-track project, Unleashed. Since its debut, “Courtesy of the Red, White and Blue (The Angry American)” has become a patriotic anthem for fans nationwide:

“Hey Uncle Sam, put your name at the top of his list/ And the Statue of Liberty started shakin' her fist/ And the eagle will fly man, it's gonna be hell/ When you hear mother freedom start ringin' her bell/ And it feels like the whole wide world is raining down on you/ Brought to you courtesy of the red white and blue”

The country hitmaker’s team shared the new video in honor of the song’s 20th anniversary on his social media pages, noting that it comes just in time for the Fourth of July weekend. Since sharing on Keith’s social media channels, fans have dropped appreciative comments: “this song always makes me so emotional, literally a masterpiece ❤️🇺🇸,” “❤️ 20 years already?! Can’t be. 💙,” and “I absolutely love this song! 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸 ❤️🤍💙,” to name a few. Others included prayers and well-wishes for the singer’s health after he revealed his stomach cancer diagnosis. He previously shared a heartfelt message: “Thank you for all your love and support. I have the best fans in the world.”
