Ozzy Osbourne's latest single from his forthcoming Patient Number 9 solo album is a reunion with fellow Black Sabbath cofounder Tony Iommi.

"Degradation Rules" is one of two songs on the new Ozzy LP that were cowritten by Iommi and feature him on guitar as well.

The track is produced a bit more slick than a Black Sabbath tune, but otherwise has all the hallmarks of an early-'70s Sabbath track, replete with a killer Iommi riff, exuberant bass and drums and even some harmonica.

The track also features guitar-work from producer Andrew Watt, with Metallica bassist Robert Trujillo and Red Hot Chili Peppers drummer Chad Smith in the rhythm section.

Patient Number 9 is due out September 9.

Ozzy is spending the summer rehabbing from successful spinal surgery and hopes to be able to tour again by next year.
