A South Florida mother is facing charges for allegedly egging her son to fight another boy and then joining the brawl, WPLG reports.

Bianca Maria Parilla, 29, of Miami, appeared in Miami-Dade court Tuesday (October 25) for felony child abuse and contributing to the delinquency of a minor, a misdemeanor. The incident happened on October 20 at Thomas Jefferson Middle School, according to an arrest report from Miami-Dade Schools Police Department.

Parilla can be heard encouraging her 12-year-old son “to get out of the car and fight" a 13-year-old student in two separate phone recordings, the report claims. Police also obtained video of the two boys duking it out. The footage then shows the mom grabbing the victim by the jacket and striking him in the face "multiple times," cops allege.

The 29-year-old was arrested at the school Monday (October 24). Judge Mindy S. Glazer placed her on house arrest until her next court date.

A Miami-Dade Schools spokesperson told reporters the students involved were punished, too.

This wasn't the first time a Florida parent got involved in a school fight. A mother was arrested for beating up a student with a boxing glove alongside her daughter. She also gave authorities an interesting excuse for having the unique weapon.
