During a Saturday appearance on MSNBC, New York Governor Kathy Hochul was questioned about the state's crime issues in advance of this year's midterm elections.

Hochul was appointed the 57th governor following Andrew Cuomo's resignation in August 2021 amid sexual harassment allegations.

In an interview with the governor, MSNBC's The 11th Hour host Stephanie Ruhle unloaded her concerns about the state's problems with crime.

"Here's the problem: we don't feel safe," Ruhle said, after Hochul mentioned that no governor has spent more money on public safety than her.
