Inflation may play an even bigger role as the Grinch this holiday season.

A recent poll from financial services company LendingClub found 60% of Americans are living paycheck to paycheck, an increase from the 56% who said the same last year.

The survey also found 59% of those individuals had issues paying their monthly bills and saw significant price increases for their utility bills over the past year.

A separate survey found about half of shoppers plan to buy fewer items this year due to high prices.
