A Florida woman has filed a $5 million lawsuit against Kraft Heinz, alleging that the company misled consumers about how long it takes to prepare their Velveeta microwaveable mac and cheese cups.

  • The primary plaintiff in the class action lawsuit, Amanda Ramirez, claims Kraft Heinz violated the law when it said Velveeta Shells & Cheese cups took three and a half minutes to prepare.
  • Ramirez is seeking at least $5 million in damages,
"including statutory and punitive exclusive of interest and costs."
