Amy Grant performed on stage for the first time since suffering injuries from a bicycle accident earlier this year. The beloved singer-songwriter canceled her fall tour dates to focus on her health, and recently played her first show after the accident in Memphis, Tennessee.

“After a season of healing at home, it was good to be back on stage with Michael W. Smith, Michael Tait and my musical family,” Grant shared in an Instagram post, which also thanked fans “for your many prayers over the last few months and as my healing continues. I hope to see some of your familiar faces in the audience over the next few weeks. Xo”

Grant is returning to the stage on her Christmas tour with Smith — stopping in Kansas, Oklahoma, Texas, Indianapolis, Illinois, Michigan and Missouri, her tour dates show — and will continue with her Christmas at the Ryman shows with husband Vince Gill. The Ryman Auditorium shows are set to kick off on December 12 and include several shows through December 21.

Grant was hospitalized at Vanderbilt University Medical Center following her bicycle accident on July 27. She shared in a health update about a month later that she was “choosing to give myself the gift of a very simple fall season. I look forward to making music with Michael W. and Vince during the Christmas season,” per advice from her doctors and friends who have also recovered from injuries.
